Why continuous casting?
The moulding of bars using the innovative continuous casting system has a lot of advantages if compared with ingots made using traditional ingot mould; they are the following:
- Greater metal yield;
- Metal can be easily subjected to mechanical workings (thread, milling, etc.);
- Less danger of explosions of liquid metal when the bars are put into the furnace;
- Can be made parcels of 1 Ton each, that allow up to 40% space-saving inside warehouse;
- Can be made custom-made parcels in order to meet the quality and production customer’s requirements;
